We had a great 2-night stay in the Skylark Pod. The pod was well equipped and had everything we needed. The local cookies, tea, and coffee were a nice touch. A lot of places come with tea and coffee but Angela went above and beyond with the local tea (from Brighton) and coffee (roasted in East Sussex). We ordered the fire pack which was a good value as it came with enough wood and supplies for easily 2 nights. There is also an EV charger in the parking area which was an unexpected surprise. We visited in February, but the weather held out and we had a great time hiking around the downs and enjoying the peace and quiet. We’d recommend hiking from the pod up to Devil’s Dyke. Five stars all around and this will definitely be on our list of places to come back to.

We had a beautiful stay, easy to find, Angela was very helpful and responded very quickly with any queries. We ordered an English breakfast which was plentiful and very tasty. The information folder was plentiful with lots of walking options The view was breathtaking. And we will definitely return

I had an amazing time with my 9 and twelve-year-old boys. We stayed in December when it was cold and wet outside. Yet we were warm and toasty in the lovely Pod. The owners had thought of everything and all of the little extras like coffee and biscuits were lovely to have. Thank you for the lovely stay and we will be back soon.

The shepherds hut is excellent, well appointed, warm and, as the name suggests...at the foot of the downs with easy access to great walking.
